Durrett Interests Camacho House Dreamwalls Color Glass

Durrett Interests' Camacho House - Austin, TX

This is a kitchen installation created by one of our fantastic customers, Anchor Ventana, in Texas.  They did the glass installation in this Austin home by Durrett Interests. What strikes me first is how the neutral palette and gauze window treatments soften what could have been a very “hard” design. The Dreamwalls Color Glass backsplash that meets at the same height as the window sash echo the horizontal lines in the drawer detailing and handles.

The repetition of Dreamwalls Color Glass in the cabinets gives an instant feel of high-end custom cabinetry. This would also be an excellent idea for renovation projects, to create an instant sense of unity throughout the space. And notice how the light switch plates and outlet covers make the installation even more cohesive.

On another wall, the wine bar gets extra attention with Dreamwalls Color Glass. What an easy way to serve guests and stage buffets for entertaining!

Dreamwalls Color Glass is terrifically practical behind the hard-working areas of the kitchen. Non-staining, easy to clean, and still beautiful.

These are all wonderful tips for using Dreamwalls Color Glass to create unity within a kitchen. Bravo to Anchor Ventana for doing such an amazing installation and showing their glass expertise.

Thomas Runkle - Coltrane Mirror

Thomas Runkle - Coltrane Mirror

Austin, TX artist, Thomas Runkle has been using Gardner Glass Products’ mirrors to create his art for several years. I first wrote about him a few years ago [ see the post here ] and his journey to finding his artistic expression, and why he chose mirrors to achieve it. I’m happy to report that he’s still making amazing musician portraits using mirror and glass. And I can see how his skill has done nothing but improve with age.
